Dharamshala International Film Festival/ White Crane Films is looking for a Festival Coordinator/ Administrative Assistant for a full time position starting ASAP. We are looking for someone who will work for more than six months in Dharamsala and the rest of the year can be worked from distance. A candidate have to join immediately after selection.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree.
Three or more years of administrative experience. Previous experience with event management is preferred.
Skills Required:
Sound operational skills. Should be able to work out projects timelines and priorities effectively keeping the deadlines in mind, especially high-pressure deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal is a prerequisite.
Detail oriented and able to take initiative and work independently.
Confident, self-starter, self reliant and problem solver.
A professional attitude and demeanor (tact, sensitivity, and diplomacy).
Adept at multi-tasking, prioritizing, and managing projects in a fast paced environment.
Proficiency with Word and Excel. Good knowledge of social media.
Knowledge of WordPress is beneficial along with basic design skills and knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator useful
Areas of Responsibility
The festival coordinator/administrative assistant will work primarily for the Dharamshala International Film Festival. However, when there is a lull in film festival duties, they will also be working with White Crane Films under the direction of directors.
Dharamshala International Film Festival
● Networking and finding sponsorship and partnerships for the festival.
● Outreach in local communities. This includes setting up outreach screenings around India Build and coordinate relationships with a wide range of partners including independent film distributors, film organizations, government, education, NGOs and cultural sectors.
● Co-ordinate Film Fellows program.
● Be able to liaise with government officials and various other third party vendors
● Co-ordinate and manage various aspects of the film festival – including but not limited to managing film submissions, hospitality and vendor management.
● Manage festival documentation and processes.
● Work closely with festival directors and festival team before and during the festival.
● Work closely with directors on various administrative duties for White Crane Films as and when required.
