Tashi Gyatso
I am passionate about theatre and music since my childhood but didn’t get to pursue this interest as a separate career due to financial and other personal reasons. I love writing lyrics, have written some in the past, and also performed in Cafes in Dharamsala and in a short film (The Last Note). As much as I was delighted by these experiences, those weren’t so fulfilling. As such, I felt I should further hone my potential. With Empowering the Vision Project’s (ENVISION) kind support, I was able to pursue a short-term course in Music Mixing and Mastering at Spinguru Academy based in Netaji Subhas Place, New Delhi. I can’t thank ENVISION enough for extending support to many Tibetan Youth like me.
At the Academy, I was instructed by professional producers and rappers, provided a separate cabinet fully equipped with necessary facilities for the course and taught Mixing and Mastering through sophisticated software and techniques. I am envisioning of starting an affordable recording studio to help prospective young Tibetan musicians to fulfil their musical inclination without stressing much about financial circumstances while mounting my own personal growth at the same time.
