My name is Tenzin Dolma and I am from Kollegal Tibetan settlement. I had completed my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Christ University, Bangalore. I wanted to continue my postgraduate studies but due to family circumstances, I had to assist my parents in their seasonal sweater-selling business instead.
Since childhood, I was always curious about how animated movies and their characters are made. Which motivated me to learn the design aspect of media. My personal interest has always been watching animation movies and trying to unpuzzle my curiosity of all aspect of animation filmmaking process particularly the effects and design part of it.
My brother who is a Graphic Designer with over six years of work experience in the field, helped get motivated and charged me further to pursue a similar career path and work towards my interest in graphics and designing.
Through the pandemic induced lockdown, I felt the need to get myself back on the track again to pursue studies of my interest, and that’s how I decided to do a six-months course in Graphic Design at Arena Animation, one of the premier schools for the field with support through ENVISION Fellowship Programme. My short-term course started in November 2020. It has been an incredible learning experience so far. In addition to a complimentary sketching class, we are being taught four main software such as photoshop, illustrator, InDesign and Coreldraw.
