Yangchen Dolkar is the Director of Operations at Andersen Bjornstad Kane Jacobs (ABKJ) based in Bangalore. ABKJ is a premier consulting design firm headquarters in Seattle, Washington, USA. She joined as an HR (Human Resource) Consultant and later joined as full-time HR and Client Relationship Manager. Based on her competence and performance she got promoted to the ‘Director of Operations’ at ABKJ India office in Bangalore.
Yangchen is from Phuntsokling Tibetan Settlement, Odisha. Since her father was employed with the Indian Army, she studied in Special Frontier Force (SFF) Army School in Herbertpur, Dehradun. She later moved to Bangalore to pursue higher education and joined St. Joseph’s Arts and Science College where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Certification in Human Resource and Economics Honors. Acquiring new skills to grow in her career, she pursued a Diploma in Legal Education under The National Law School of India in Bangalore. Yangchen pursued her Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Mount Carmel Evening College, Bengaluru while she was working during a day and managed to pay her own education expenses. Prior to that, she worked as Client Relations Executive in Le Meridian, an international hotel and at RSP, a Singapore based Architectural Company.
She is ENVISION’s GTPN executive board member, Bangalore chapter for the last seven years. An active and committed Tibetan, she along with other members through the GTPN Bangalore chapter has been providing career guidance and counselling to the Tibetan students. She was an active executive board member of Tibetan Youth Congress, Bangalore in 2001 specifically worked on health care for Tibetan monks and under privileged families.
Yangchen is passionate about animal rights, environment, and education. Apart from her corporate work-life, she contributes her time to volunteer for Animal Welfare, for Tibetan Welfare and initiatives on Youth Empowerment.
