Tenzin Mingyur is an engineer by profession currently based out of Bangalore. He is the founder of the Tibetan Construction Company “Vajra BuildTech” along with his co-partner Er. Tenzin Tsetan.
Mingyur was born in Doeguling Tibetan Settlement, Mundgod. He received his school education from Central Schools for Tibetans (CST) Dalhousie, CST Paonta and CST Mundgod respectively. He earned his civil engineering degree from Government Engineering College in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.
Prior to starting his own construction company, he worked on various projects such as Water Supply project at Tibetan Children Village School in Ladakh followed by Namgyal Monastic School Building Project in Dharamsala. He also had the privilege of working on a Delhi Metro Project under the Pratibha Industries limited (PIL) in New Delhi. Apart from his regular job, Mingyur also contributes to (as Volunteer) Community services. He had assisted in constructing a new basketball court at Camp 4 in Mungod and for the renovation of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s residence in Dharamsala in the past.
Currently, his company (Vajra BuildTech) is indulged in constructing Tibetan Medical and Astro-Science College of Men-Tsee-Khang college building at Dalai Lama’s Institute for Higher Education in Bangalore, Karnataka.
Mingyur la also engages with Young Tibetans in the community with interest in pursuing engineering by mentoring them.
