Tenzin Lhagoe is a dynamic and versatile Bar and Beverage Expert with more than 14 years of experience in the field as well as in other aspects of management and service. He is currently the Cluster Manager of Bar Operations at the Zone by the Park Hotel based in New Delhi and also runs his own start-up, the Barkeep India. Lhagoe completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Science from Saptagiri College of Hotel Management from Mangalore, Karnataka in 2005. He was born and brought up in Choephelling Tibetan Settlement, Miao, Arunachal Pradesh and completed his schooling from Central School for Tibetans in Dalhousie and Mundgod.
Prior to his current position, Lhagoe had worked in different capacities such as Beverage Manager, Assistant Bar and Restaurant Manager, Food and Beverage Executive, Bar and Floor Supervisor, Bartender, Head Bartender and Assistant Commis De Rang, at RVN Hospitality, Olive Bar and Kitchen Pvt Ltd, Hilton Bangalore Embassy GolfLinks, PVR BluO Entertainment Ltd, Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel, ICT Hotels, Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, the Park Hotels respectively since May 2005.
Lhagoe was honoured with the Best Bartender India 2nd Runner up organized by the Diageo Reserve India in May 2012 at Spices, JW Marriott, Mumbai. The competition is held every year by Diageo Reserve India and the winner gets to represent India in the field of Bar and Beverage on global platforms. Lhagoe also designs manual and menus on seasonal and special occasions also train bar employees at the hotel on a regular basis. His colleagues describe him as a person of enthusiasm, dedicated, artful and fun to work with.
Lhagoe through his expertise and experiences is willing to guide and mentor young Tibetans who are pursuing careers in Hospitality, Bar and Beverage sector.
