Name: Tenzin Chadotsang
Tenzing Chadotsang is the Director of Grants and Outreach at the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission and administers a historic preservation grant program and regulates changes to landmarked religious properties throughout the city. He has consulted on restoration projects in Mongolia, India and Eastern Tibet for the World Monuments Fund, and the KhamAid Foundation.
He serves on the board of the Tibetan Museum of Staten Island, Chhaya Community Development Corporation and The Metropolitan Chapter of the Victorian Society and holds a degree in architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, a master’s degree in historic preservation from Columbia University and a masters diploma in World Heritage from the University of Torino, Italy. He has been selected to participate in a nine-month multi-sector cohort exploring civic leadership and New York City public policy with CORO New York and as a member of the Citizens Union served this summer on the Local and Mayoral Candidates Committees evaluating candidates for elected office in New York City.
