Dr. Tashi Namgyal is a medical doctor and had served three years as a Medical officer at Tso Jhe Khangsar Hospital in Bylakuppe, one of the biggest Tibetan Settlement in Exile Community.

Dr. Tashi Namgyal was born and brought up in Darjeeling, West Bengal. He received his schooling education from Central School for Tibetans, Darjeeling, and Mussoorie respectively. After graduating from Class XII, he got selected as one of the candidates at Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla where he received his MBBS degree.

Before his current posting, he briefly worked at Delek Hospital, Dharamsala. Dr. Namgyal’s work in the community is well recognized and is one of the few Tibetan medical doctors in exile serving the community.

Dr. Namgyal was one of the speakers at ENVISION’s Global Vision for Young Tibetans Conference 2017 in the ‘Emerging Tibetans’ session where he inspired and motivated young Tibetans to pursue their passion with commitment and perseverance.

He is currently in the pursuit of MD (Medicinae Doctor) specialization.
