Tamding Kyab is the co-founder of the leading Tibetan IT start-up Dachompa along with his three Tibetan colleagues (all IT professionals). DACHOMPA’s area of expertise includes web development, mobile application and user interface/user experience (UI/UX) design. Tamding Kyab along with the DACHOMPA team is currently based out of Bangalore.
Tamding Kyab was born in Tibet, after coming to India in exile, was raised and studied in Tibetan Homes Foundation, Mussorie. After his schooling, he went on to pursue his passion and interest in the field of Information technology.
Tamding Kyab is the UI/UX designer in the team at DACHOMPA. His team successfully created an Android-based mobile app for the GCM Gold cup – Tibetan premier football competition – and was used widely by Tibetans all over following the competition.
Their first project, a mobile app for Kalachakra 2017 was a pioneer digital product in the Tibetan diaspora. The most recent engagement the DACHOMPA team pursued was in developing a mobile app (Android and iOS) for the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) named “Tibet.net” to be launched soon to bring the widely dispersed Tibetan community on one digital platform.
Currently, the DACHOMPA team with Tamdin Kyab is preparing for the GCM Gold Cup 2018 app, which is soon to be held in Bylakuppe. DACHOMPA will be updating the details of the teams, players and matches on the app to be accessible to the public.
