Presented by Empowering the Vision (Envision)and Drung Filmmakers’ Collective
This three-month mentorship programme offered by Empowering the Vision Project (Envision) in collaboration with Drung Films will match up to four aspiring Tibetan filmmakers from India, Nepal and Bhutan with four senior filmmakers from around the world who will serve as their mentors. This programme hopes to advance storytelling and filmmaking in the Tibetan community by providing one on one guidance to the mentees as they each develop, produce and complete a short film. During the course of the three months mentorship, the mentees will be provided with a small monthly stipend to help them focus on their projects.
The programme is divided into three different phases or stages starting with Scriptwriting and Development, Production and Direction and Editing and Post Production. During the course of the programme, the mentees will learn about each of the mentor’s individual approaches to filmmaking and watch their films. They will also have the opportunity to hear from the mentors about their journey as filmmakers.
