Name: Rinzin Dolma
Rinzin Dolma, was born and raised in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. She is a Senior Nurse educator in Health Care at Home India (HCAH ) Pvt Ltd, a joint venture between Dabur and HCAH UK. She did her primary schooling from Sambhota Tibetan School Manali, High school from Sambhota School Bhuntar and Senior Secondary from CST Mussoorie. Rinzin has a degree in B.Sc. Nursing from Manipal College of Nursing, Bangalore, Karnataka. She started her first job from Manipal Hospital Bangalore as a staff nurse in ITU (intensive therapy unit) and worked at the hospital for three years. While at Manipal Hospital, Rinzin was tasked with her area of specialization that is to give post-operative care to patients with heart and vascular surgery including Heart transplant. Her area of expertise also includes handling of Advanced Medical Technologies such ECMO (Extra Corporal Membranous Oxygenation), heart lung machine pump IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) and mechanical ventilator. Apart from her regular job as a staff nurse, She also taught nurses every Wednesday and Saturdays.
After three years of working at Manipal Hospital, Rigzin moved to Delhi to work at HCAH Delhi unit, as a Nurse educator. Her main tasks at HCAH are to look after training and quality of home care, draft nursing manuals, to train and build capacities of in-house nurses, and to conduct Continuing Nursing Education (CNE). She had conducted CNE in multi-speciality hospitals such as Artimis, Medanta, Paras, FMRI (Fortis Memorial Research Institute) Fortis Escort heart institute, and Action Balaji.
Rinzin believes that one should always embrace challenges and should never give up in the face of adversities. Challenges she believes are key catalyst for learning and growth. Rinzin aspires to continue her further studies in the future; and contribute to the community in the field of health education.
