Name: Jamyang Wangyal
Jamyang Wangyal is a Counselor and Deputy Secretary of South Zone Guidance and Counseling Cell, under Central Tibetan Administration (CTA). An alumnus of CST Mundgod, Jamyang has a Master’s in Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree from Kittle Arts College, Karnatak University, Dharwad. He has also done Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counseling from Regional Institute of Education, Mysore under National Counsel for Education and Research Center (NCERT).
He was selected as a Counselor with CTA’s Department of Education in 2005. Later, he was posted to Mundgod, a Tibetan settlement in South India as a Resident Counsellor where he guided and counselled Tibetan students of five major Tibetan settlements in South India including Odisha, Mainpat and Bandara. His role as a South Zone Counsellor include conducting Classroom Guidance, Individual Counseling, Group Counseling, Consultation with Administrators, Teachers & Parents/Community, Monitoring the Counseling service, Administer & conduct Psychological Testing, Parental Counseling, Networking with various professionals and colleges.
